Youth Fall PSPL Seasons End - HS Girls Winter Season Underway

Youth Fall PSPL Seasons End - HS Girls Winter Season Underway

PSPL Fall Seasons:

U17 Boys: The Coach Pennington led U17 Boys took on a barrage of competition this season as they entered into the U17 Boys State Division. They were able to sling together a season full of close games and earned 9 points on the table in their three win season. The boys are excited with how they played and where they are headed, considering two of their three wins came towards the end of the season, where they seemed to have been picking up momentum. Pennington and his team didn't even want to take a break after the season and they went right back out to the training grounds to continue to work on their craft! Great Job!

U14 Girls: The young ladies lead by Coach Ward saw the toughest competition in league play so far as they were bumped into the next competition level after their Fall '18 League Title and their Winter/Spring '18-19 2nd place finish. The U14 team was able to once again prove they belonged. It wasn't easy however though. The Ward-led team saw their squad start the season 0-2 for the first time ever. The players and coach knew what they were up against this season with the bump in competition level. The team took on their "rivals" from the divisions last season Eagleclaw FC and shut them out 3-0. The team was pumped after that and was able to bounce back from their 0-2 start to rack up a 7-1 record the rest of the way to finish Second on the table! Great Job Ladies!

U13 Girls: Our youngest group this season, led by Coach Schultz was a tough learning experience for a lot of the young ladies participating. The competition was great this season in the 2007 division. The coaches believe that each player individually had improved throughout the season and had their best game of the season when they played 8 v 11. The young ladies showed true heart and resilience as they scored first and took a tie into halfway through the second half. The young ones were gassed by then and MRFC was able to score two more. It gave the coaches and players a lot to be proud of and build on in the winter season to come. They were able to find two ties along the way and look forward to getting back to work.

Next up is the Girls HS Seasons who are now underway after coming back from their actual HS teams. Both HS aged girls teams are led by Coach Vasquez.

U16 Girls: Coach Noel Vasquez is excited about this group of ladies who is loaded with talent from schools such as Centralia, WF West, Tenino, and Adna. Three of those four teams made the school playoffs this year and players from TCUFC were big impacts on their seasons. Coach Noel wants everyone to keep an eye out for WF West Freshman & First Team All-League Midfielder Cam Sheets. Cam made an immediate impact in her first year of HS ball and Coach Noel hopes for her to build on that with her club team. The U16 squad got started on their season on November 17th when they took on IEYSA, the ladies fought hard but fell 2-3 to start the season. Their next matchup comes Saturday December 7th at Tiger Stadium in Centralia (Time TBD).

U19 Girls: The other Coach Vasquez led squad returns many players from last season and also features some newcomers from the Tenino Area. A newly tapped area for Coach Noels' two teams. One that especially is standing out to the coach is one of those Tenino HS players, Alivia Hunter who plays Centerback. Coach Vasquez feels she will fit in perfectly on his squad. This particular squad also started their season on November 17th and took complete control of their match, cruising to a 4-0 win and sending a message to their league that they mean business! Keep it up ladies!
